The 2025 AGM for QBS will be held on October 18th, for the annual report on activities, the election of board members for 2025/6, and a presentation by a guest speaker. The Hamilton Wetlands and Forest Preservation Society will also be present, as they launch their fundraising drive for the initiative to support the RDN’s purchase of this key wetland.
Doors will open at 9 am for membership renewals, with the AGM business to begin at 9:30 am.
The guest speaker this year is Ally Wall, Biologist with the Aquatic Research and Restoration Centre with the British Columbia Conservation Foundation (BCCF), an organization with which QBS has worked for many years. Ally will bring us some insights into several BCCF projects, including fish surveys carried out by BCCF along the mid-island and in the Little Qualicum River estuary, one of the areas where QBS volunteers have been working since 2000.
